The moon display shows the moon footprint and/or the status. All options are selected from the ribbon bar.

There are online sites which claim to show the current status of the moon; the result often differ as there are many algorithms which are used, some more accurate than others.

• Naval Observatory Vector Astrometry Software (NOVAS)

Unless you are planning a trip to the moon for a DXpedition, the values returned by this program are more than accurate enough.
