I'll be replacing the filter design soon, here's a plot of the new filter response (taken from Tech Preview 1D). I can adjust the range and the shape, the shape affects the audio quality. Note the lack of ripples.

The noise filters seem to work well BUT every now and again I get big burst of crackling audio that suddenly becomes so loud I have to turn the filter off.
