The Problem

There can be a problem support more than one SDR-IQ or SDR-14, this depends on the version of the FTDI driver, operation system and software you are using.

In this software there is a window which tests support for multiple SDR-IQ / SDR-14 radios. In Program Options select RFspace, SDR-IQ/SDR-14 Detection.

First make sure the Advanced test option is not checked, then click Test. Information is shown for the first SDR-IQ or SDR-14 found on your computer. Now click View to save this information in your default text program (usually Notepad).

If you have more than one SDR-IQ or SDR-14 you must now check Advanced test and run the test again. If there are driver issues then the program will either hang or display information for each radio.

If you have multiple SDR-IQ or SDR-14 and the advanced test does not hang it is now safe to check the Enable support... option.

USB Drivers

Sometimes it can be necessary to change the installed USB driver.

The driver version required for the SDR-IQ is 2.04.16 from www.ftdichip.com - this driver cannot be downloaded from the FTDICHIP website as it has been superceeded, but you can download it by clicking here.

With your SDR-IQ connected to your computer just extract and run this executable - it will change the drivers to version 2.04.16 as required by the SDR-RADIO console.

Note: do not install the latest driver without confirming with RFspace Inc. or SDR-RADIO.com GmbH that it works correctly.
