Preview Kits

The first technology preview will be available on December 10th, 2009. This is much later than was originally hoped for but at least it's in time for Christmas 2009.

This kit demonstrates some the initial features of the SDR-RADIO.com console:

  • RFSpace SDR-IQ,
  • Record / playback,
  • Remote server support.

There is a lot more to come in 2010, for example:

  • Better filter, noise blanker and noise reduction.
  • More efficient spectrum scope display (using DirectX).
  • HF radio integration (high priority).

So this program will just be continuously improved.

The Kits

The kits contain everyting you need:

  • Updates are cumulative,
  • There is no need to remove previous versions of this software before installing a new kit,
  • You do not need to restart your computer after installing the software.

Local Storage

All settings are saved in the standard local storage folders on your computer, data is stored using XML. On Windows 7 Simon's settings are stored in C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Roaming\SDR-RADIO.com.

Technology Previews

The technology previews work well enough for users to see how the console is progressing; the code is not finished.
